3. Validate the Setup

After finishing configuring the setup, you can now validate the setup. Through validation, Evolution is able to check your setup and provide you with information on any setup errors or warnings.

To validate a setup, have the setup open and click the Quick Validate button in the Evolution Ribbon.

If validation is successful, a message indicating this will appear in the Output Window.

Otherwise, the Output Window will display a list of issues that need to be fixed.

Once the setup has been successfully validated, a schedule can be generated.

Optional — Advanced Validation

If you want to run a more comprehensive check before processing your setup, use advanced validation. When applied to a setup that has not been previously validated, the advanced validation will contain all the checks within the quick validation package as well as the advanced validation checks. However, if the setup has already been validated, the advanced validation method will only perform the additional checks outside the scope of the quick validation package.

To perform advanced validation, have the setup open and click the Advanced Validate button in the Control Ribbon menu.
