Mill Classification

Suppose you have multiple mills in your setup and want Evolution to select the mill based on the value of the product extracted.

The Mill Classification tab allows you to assign attributes to each mill to facilitate the selection process based on maximising value. These attributes are from the imported pit model.

In this example, there are three process plants and each block in the model contains multiple ore parcels. The final destination is based upon their capital value and current process capacities.

Case 1

In this case, each parcel can go to a specific process. If the capacity of the process is reached, the material will be stockpiled (overflow). This stockpiled ore can then be reclaimed later if the process capacity is not reached.

Case 2

In this case, one parcel can go to one of two process.

The Leach and Mixed plants will compete for the Leach parcel. The highest value defines where the Leach parcel goes. For instance:

If the Leach plant capacity is reached, the parcel will go to the mixed plant, if the Mixed plant is also full, then the remaining material will go to the Leach overflow stockpile.
