Pit Region to Waste Region

Use the Pit Region to Waste Region constraint to map regions in the pit to regions in the waste utility. This makes it possible to establish a dependency to ensure a pit region is mined before a waste region can be dumped in.

To map a pit region to a waste region, select the appropriate attributes from the Pit Column and the Waste Utility Column.

To create a dependency:

1. Select the pit region that should be mapped to the relevant waste region.

2. Click on the white circle that has appeared and drag the arrow all the way to the circle on the waste region that you want to be the dependent one.

3. Release the mouse. The dependency will be created.

In the example below, Region 20 will be mined first and then dumped in waste Region 2.

The following buttons appear on the viewer toolbar:

	Auto layout diagram Allows you to arrange the stages in your view. The stages will be aligned in their precedence order.
	Size diagram to fit Allows you to place your diagram in the centre of the viewer.
	Clear dependencies Allows you to remove the dependencies. Tip:  To remove a single dependency link, select it with left-click and press Delete.
