2. Configure the Setup
Source file: 2-epoch-setups-configure.htm
Once an Epoch setup is created, it needs to be configured so that it has the necessary information required for the client to generate a schedule.
Epoch setup configuration is divided into a number of sections or tabs. Each tab represents an aspect of the setup the software requires to schedule the mine. The following is a list of tabs that need to be configured for an Epoch setup to be ready for evaluation:
- Process Setup: Add process flow components to a setup.
- Resources: Add and configure resources (equipment and process flow components).
- Resource Definitions: Set resource parameters and configure mills and stockpiles by setting either their productivity rate or entering their target accumulation value for the amount of the processed material in a given period.
- Calendar: See a complete overview of the site appointments. These include general delays, maintenance, and global events such as public holidays and weekends. In this tab, you can view both the All Calendar Events tab and the Global Calendar Events tab.
- Task Sequence: Allows you to create and manage task keys, virtual solids and task lists.
- Activities: Allows you to add and configure activities.
- Constraints: Allows you to define a set of setup constraints per period. Currently only contains one constraint (the Solid Availability constraint).
- Viewer: Provides you with a 3D display of models within the setup.
