Edit a surface

To despike a surface
On the Edit menu, go to the Fix group and select
Despike. See Despike.
To fill holes in a surface
On the Edit menu, go to the Fix group and select
Fill holes. See Fill Holes.
To add facets to a surface

Right-click on the surface and select View > Wireframe
to display the facets. -
Right-click on the surface and select Edit > Add facets.

On the status bar, enter the First point, or click in the view window.

Select the second and third point.
- Click
to complete or press Enter.
Tip: Add facets while in top view
or use snap modes to ensure
the facets are created in the intended location.
To extend the surface

Right-click on the surface and select View > Wireframe
to display the facets. -
Right-click on the surface and select Edit > Extend surface
.
- Click on a boundary edge.

Select the location for the Third point, to complete the boundary facet.

Click
to complete or press Enter.
Tip: A construction or horizontal plane can be used to ensure the facets are created in the intended location.
To edit individual triangles

Right-click on the surface and select View > Wireframe
to display the facets. -
Using the
Select points
mode, draw a box
over a corner of the triangle to be edited so that a point is selected. -
Right-click on the triangle and select Edit > Move point
.

Click in the location for the new point.

Click
to complete or press Enter .
