Fit Line

Use the Fitted Line tool to create a line fitted to a selection of points.

1. Using either the object or point selection type, select the points to line a plane fitted.

   Tip:  Use point selection type for a more precise fit to a specific area.

2. On the Create ribbon tab, go to the Create group. From the Fit drop-down list select Fit Line.

   

3. Select whether the line should be constrained Horizontally or Vertically. No constraint will create a line of best fit.

4. Click OK or Apply. The line is saved in the cad container and is coloured the average colour of the selected points.
