Creating Points

Points can be created to manipulate or add to existing data.

  1. On the Create ribbon tab navigate to the Draw group. From the Points drop-down list select Points.

  2. On the status bar, enter the coordinates of the First point, or click in the view window to auto-fill the fields.

  3. Initially the points will be drawn on the action plane however, entering a Z value will place the point in the 3D space.

  4. Enter more points, as required.

  5. Right-click or click in the status bar or press Enter to complete the sequence. The points become one object and are saved in the cad container. The function is also reset and ready for new entries.

  6. When finished with the function, click or press Esc to cancel and close the function.

Tip!  Create points while in top view    or use snap modes to ensure the points are created in the intended location.
