Area
Measure a User Defined Area
Use the Area option to measure an area bounded by indicated points, that is, a polygon. Both the total plan area and the area in view (in case the view has been rotated) are displayed in the Report Window.
Instructions
Click Area 
on the Analyse toolbar.

On the Design menu, point to Details, and then click Area.
Indicate each point of the polygon that you want to use as the boundary. This polygon does not need to exist prior to starting this option. If it does exist, then use either Snap to Objects 
or Snap to Points 
modes to snap exactly onto existing points.
Right-click when you have completed indicating the polygon. The plan and view areas display in the Report Window.
Indicate another polygon to find more areas or right-click to cancel the option.
