Recalculate

Use the Recalculate option to recalculate the collars and intercepts for selected holes. This option should be used when the surface triangulation has changed since the initial design and the holes that use the surface need updating.

Instructions

Click the Recalculate button on the Drill and Blast toolbar.

or

On the Drill and Blast menu, point to Edit, and then click Recalculate.

The Select hole(s) by dialog box is then displayed.

Using the displayed dialog box, nominate a method by which to select the holes. You have the choice of selecting by hole, by row or by echelon. Use the All Holes option to select all of the holes from a particular blast.

The recalculation process will begin after the desired holes have been selected. If any holes fail the recalculation, For example, the intercepts cannot be drawn in the correct sequence or the collar is now outside the modified surface etc, then an error message will be produced for that particular hole and the hole is left unchanged.

The Select hole(s) by dialog box is then redisplayed. Cancel to exit the option

Tip:   It is also possible to recalculate the hole collars through the Vulcan context menu. Simply highlight the desired hole(s) and select the Edit Hole > Recalculate option from the displayed context menu.
