Saving Views
It is possible to save a particular view into a numbered buffer by using the Shift + 1... 9 keys. To return to the saved view, use the appropriate number key. The saved views will be stored in the output2.viw
file under your user profiles area, for example C:\Users\<user name>
. Up to 9 views can be saved for each window.
It is possible, when saving the view, to also save the default Z value with the view. Thus when you return to the view the default Z value will be restored. To do this, check the Save default Z value with view check box (under Effects section of the Preferences option).
If you are using the Enable dynamic display button on the Effects toolbar, then the view will return to the saved view. Otherwise the view will switch to the saved view.
Since the output2.viw
file is used to store saved views for all of your project specification files, we recommend limiting your saved views to a maximum of 50. Saving more than 50 views may result in a decrease of performance.
