Run Estimation
Use the Run Estimation option to run block estimation parameters individually or as specified in a nominated block estimation run file (.ber
). The block estimation run file, which is an ASCII variant file, is stored under the Other directory of the Vulcan Explorer.
It is also possible to run a block estimation file by right-clicking on a .bef
file in the Vulcan Explorer application and selecting Run Block Estimation from the displayed context menu. You can also select the button when you are creating or editing a
.bef
file.
Instructions
On the Block menu, point to Grade Estimation, and then click Run Estimation to display the Run Estimations panel.
Run
Select this check box to run the estimation.
Model
Select the block model on which the estimation is to be run. Click to select a block model from another directory.
Estimation File
Select the block estimation file (.bef
) that contains the estimation that you want to perform. Click to select an estimation file from another directory.
Estimation
Select the name of the desired estimation.
Report File
Enter the name of the resulting estimation report file. The resulting report, which will be stored in your current working directory, will use the following naming convention:
<report file>_report
If a file name is not specified, that is, the Report File cell is left blank, then the resulting report file will be named using the following naming convention:
<estimation file>_<estimation id>_report
Save
Select this check box to save the selections in a nominated block estimation run file (.ber
).
Click OK.
The selected estimations are run in 'top-down' order. If you chose to save the selections, then the Save As panel displays first.
Select the file that will be used to store the selections. To create a new file, enter the file name and file extension. Navigate to a different directory to nominate a different storage location.
