Select Dragline

Select a Dragline from Dragline Database

Use the Select Dragline option to select a dragline from the dragline database to use on the current section. Once selected, you can set and unset the position of the dragline using the Set Position and Unset Position options.

This option can also be accessed by selecting the Select Dragline button from the Dragline - Move Blocks toolbar.

Instructions

On the Dragline menu, point to Move Blocks, and then click Select Dragline.

If you have the dragline legend displayed (refer to the View > Toggle Dragline Legend option), then you will be prompted to select a dragline from the legend. If you do not have the legend displayed, then a list of the currently defined draglines displays, allowing you to select a dragline to use.

If a Dragline specifications file (.rsp) was not opened prior to selecting this option, then the Open Dragline Specification panel displays first.

Spec file name

Enter, or select from the drop-down list, the <spec_file_id> part of the dragline specifications file name. The maximum size is 6 alphanumeric characters. Selecting a name from the drop-down list will open an existing specifications file. Entering a new name will create a new specifications file.

Click OK.

Upon selection, if you already have a dragline set on the current section, then its extents box will be updated to reflect the new dragline's parameters.
