Edit Labels
Edit Strip Labels
Use the Edit Labels option to edit the strip labels on Dragline strip objects.
Instructions
On the Dragline menu, point to Strips, and then click Edit Labels to display the Edit Multiple Labels panel.
If a Dragline specifications file (.rsp
) was not opened prior to selecting this option, then the Open Dragline Specification panel displays first.
Open Dragline Specification panel
Spec file name
Enter, or select from the drop-down list, the <spec_file_id>
part of the dragline specifications file name. The maximum size is 6 alphanumeric characters. Selecting a name from the drop-down list will open an existing specifications file. Entering a new name will create a new specifications file.
Click OK.
Label Template
Enter the strip name template. The template can either be text only (in which case strip numbers are added to the end of the name) or it can be a combination of text plus the %D
format string (where %D
= the strip number). Inserting a number between the %
and D
markers will allow you to pad the strip name with leading zeros, for example, STRIP_%4D
will produce STRIP_0001
, STRIP_0002
, STRIP_0003
etc.
Template | Output |
---|---|
STRIP_%D | STRIP_1, STRIP_2, STRIP_3 etc. |
STRIP_%4D | STRIP_0001, STRIP_0002, STRIP_0003,...., STRIP_0009, STRIP_0010 etc. |
STRIP_ | STRIP_1, STRIP_2, STRIP_3 etc. |
STRIP | STRIP1, STRIP2, STRIP3 etc. |
