Fixmap

Overview

This section contains information on Fixmap.

Hand Editing Mapfiles

Mapfiles can be hand edited before running Fixmap to achieve the desired results.

Creating a Fixmap Database

A drillhole database containing all of the correlations made by the fixmap process can be created using the Fixmap validation procedure listed in the Introduction > Model Verification Techniques.

Common Fixmap Problems

Fixmap will produce poor results if there is insufficient local data to make valid estimates. This will occur when a few long holes are interspersed in a set of short drilling, or if a seam occurs spasmodically. The latter can occur if a seam is divided into splits in just one or two holes.

Running Fixmap from the command line

Fixmap can also be run from the command line. A split file is required in order to run Fixmap from the command Line.
