Display Grid Scale Bar

Use Display Grid Scale Bar toggle to hide or show the Grid Scale Bar.

Note:   As a toggle, selecting this option will hide a displayed Grid Scale Bar, or display a hidden bar.

A Grid Scale Bar provides information about the colouring of grids that were displayed using one of the colour by spectrum options. Refer to the Display > Dynamic Display Grid or Display > Static Display Grid options for more information on displaying grids.

The Grid Scale Bar displays as a floating window, which means that you can dock it, minimise it, and change the nature and the location of it.

It is also possible to use the Display Grid Scale Bar button , from the Grid Calc toolbar, to hide and show the Grid Scale Bar. Additionally, you can set a preference to automatically display the Grid Scale Bar as grids are displayed on the screen. To do this, check the Automatically display the grid sale box check box on the Preferences panel.

If you have chosen to dynamically display the grid, any changes made to the grid values will automatically be reflected in the Grid Scale Bar. If you have chosen to use the static grid display, the Grid Scale Bar will need to be re-displayed.

Prerequisites

You must first open a grid to display a Grid Scale Bar. Failure to have an open grid will cause an error message to display. See Grid Calc > Grids > Load/Calculate Grid for detailed instructions on opening a grid.

Instructions

On the Grid Calc menu, point to Display, and then click Display Grid Scale Bar.
