Access Design Database

Use the Access Design Database option to open or create design databases or, if desired, delete layers from the currently open design database. A design database must be open before any design information can be saved. As only one design database can be open at a time, the open database is closed as a new one is opened.

Note:   Options that load information from a design database temporarily open the database as part of the loading process. That is, the open database is not closed when these databases are briefly opened.

Instructions

On the Grid Calc menu, point to Edit Modelling Defaults, and then click A ccess Design Database to display the Design Database Access panel.

Open database

Select this option to open a design database.

Create database

Select this option to create a new design database.

Delete layer

Select this option to remove a layer from the open design database.

Design area name

Enter, or select from the drop-down list, the name of the database to open or create.

Specify

Select the names of the layer and object(s) to delete from the database. Deleted layers and objects are not recoverable.

Click OK.
