Area

Use Area to display value, volume and surface area statistics for the loaded grid.

Instructions

On the Grid Calc menu, point to Grid Query, and then click Area to display the Area panel.

Volume Stats

Volume

Select this option to report the volume statistics (sum of the grid values * cell area). For example, if the current grid is a TK (thickness) grid, the volume reported is the total volume contained in the thickness grid.

No Volume

Select this option if you do not want to report the volume statistics.

Surface Stats

Surface

Select this option to report the surface statistics (sum of the grid cell surface areas).

No Surface

Select this option if you do not want to report the surface statistics.

Click OK.

An example of the statistics displayed when both the Volume and Surface options are selected is shown below.
