Clip Grids

Use the Clip Grids option to clip one or more grids to another grid. The grid against which to clip must be loaded.

Instructions

On the Grid Calc menu, point to Model, and then click Clip Grids to display the Clip Grids panel.

One grid

Select this option to clip one grid. Enter the name of the grid to be clipped in the Grid name box.

All grids

Select this option to clip all grids. Grids will be accessed from the horizon list. The SF grid will be clipped using the SR intersection with the clipping grid. If this is not desirable, clip the grids individually.

Roof variable

Select the variable for the upper grid(s).

Floor variable

Select the variable for the lower grids(s).

Clip values above

Select this option to clip (remove) grid values that protrude above the clipping grid.

Clip values below

Select this option to clip grid values that protrude below the clipping grid.

Modify the mask only

Select this option to change the mask values not the grids.

Modify values and the mask

Select this option to modify the data values and the mask values.

Replace the existing mask

Select this check box to replace the existing mask with the new values.

Click OK.

The grid is then clipped. If you chose to display the grid dynamically, then the grid is updated automatically. If you did not display the grid dynamically, redisplay the grid using the Static Display Grid option.
