Overview

The Haulage Profile module consists of the following options:

  • Truck Library
  • Route Cycle Estimation
  • Model Route Calculation
  • View Bench

The options listed above can also be selected from the Haulage toolbar.

Haulage Profile Applications

  • Haul truck travel time calculation by bench, triangulation stored in block model blocks.
  • Haul truck production time stored in block model blocks.
  • Haul truck cycle time stored in block model blocks.
  • Fleet productivity estimation for long & short term planning.
  • Sensitivity analysis to road design criteria.
  • Microsoft Excel and CSV ( C omma S eparated V alues) file format reports by bench and material type.
  • Uses Vulcan CAD tools to design the routes.

Haulage Profile Equations:

The cycle time for a haul unit can be expressed by:

LCT = STL + LT + TL +STD + DT + TE + AD

where:

Value Description
LCT Cycle time of a haul unit, min.
STL Spot time at the loader, min.
LT Load time of the haul unit, min.
TL Travel time (loaded), min.
STD Spot time at the dump, min.
DT Dump time, min.
TE Travel time (empty), min.
AD Average delay on the haul cycle, min (slow down on the haul or start up velocity or stop sign in haul road).

Also,

LT = TCP/LR

where:

Value Description
LT Load time of the haul unit, min.
TCP Capacity of the haul unit, short tons.
LR Loading rate at the loader, st/min.

With shovel truck systems,

LT = (TCP/BCP)/CTL

where:

Value Description
LT Load time of the haul unit, min.
TCP Capacity of the haul unit, short tons.
BCP Bucket capacity of the loader, st (adjusted for fill factor, etc.)
CTL Cycle time of the loader, min (adjusted for loading efficiency, etc.)

TL = HD/SL
TE = HD/SE

where:

Value Description
TL Travel time (loaded), min.
HD Haul distance from the loader to the dump (feet or metres).
SL Speed of the loaded haul unit, (feet/min or metres/min or kilometres/hr or miles/hr).
SE Speed of an empty haul unit, (feet/min or metres/min or kilometres/hr or miles/hr).
