Export Triangulation Attributes
Export triangulation attributes to CSV, MS Excel or text files.
Instructions
On the Model menu, point to Triangle Attributes, then click Export Attributes.
Specification File
Use the drop-down list to select an existing specification file, or enter a new filename. An extension will automatically be added to the filename in the format of < filename.TRI_ATTR_EXPORT_SPEC >.
The Audit details are automatically filled in. The date is generated from the computer's date. The authorship is generated from the computer's login information.
Change Log is a field that can be edited by the user.
Triangulations
Select the triangulations that you want to export attributes for. You may select triangulations in bulk by choosing a folder where triangulations are stored or select individual triangulations.
All triangulations in folder
Use the drop-down list to select the folder where the triangulations are stored. If the folder is not in top level of the working directory, you may use the Browse button to search for it.
Select triangulations
Use the drop-down list to select from the list of triangulations found in the working directory. If a triangulation is not found, you may search for it by clicking on the icon to open a search window.

Select from triangulations that are loaded from the screen. Right-click when selection is completed to return to panel. |

Sort the list in alpha/numerical order. |

Options
Export Options
All or selected attributes
Attributes of the selected triangulations are saved in a report file, one triangulation per row.
Groups of attributes
Location attributes are used to identify the block cut by pit, strip, seam, block id, bench, etc. Material attributes represent material such as waste or product.
Selected groups of attributes
Groups of attributes can be created. Spatial attributes are features such as area, volume or thickness.
When neither export all or group in row options are selected, the report is compiled by the Location, Spatial, Qualities etc. groups, but the output is one triangulation per row.
Global Attributes
Read all triangulations to generate the Global Attributes list
Select this option to generate a list of attributes based on all triangulations currently loaded.
Select a single triangulation to append the Global Attributes list
Select this option to use the drop-down list to choose a triangulation, or use the Browse button to locate the triangulation if it is not in the top level of your working directory.
Import Global Attribute from a Split Pit specification file
Select this option to use an existing Split Pit specification file to populate the Global Attributes list. Use the drop-down list to choose the file, or use the Browse button to locate the file if it is not in the top level of your working directory. The Split Pit specification file will have an extension format of < filename.bss >.
When you have made your selections above, click on the button to generate a list of attributes. A global list of attributes is compiled. The Global Attributes list is always sorted alphabetically.
Attributes
The Attributes list will be populated from the same source that populated the list found in the Options panel.
Export all attributes
Select this option to export all attributes. If this option is select the ability to select attributes from the table will be disabled.
Export selected attributes
Select this option to export only the attributes you choose. Use the arrows between the two panels to transfer the attributes back and forth.
Column Title
Attribute Name is not editable. However, you may edit Column Title which allows you to add a descriptive title or comment.
Report file
Prefix
Enter an optional title prefix.
Report format
Select the format you would like the report to be in.
Report file
Enter a report file name. A report file name is required. Click Apply and Run to generate the report file.
Note: Make sure that any open report window has been closed before regenerating another report. The program will proceed as if a report were being generated and produce a notification that all reports have been exported. However, Export Triangulation Attributes will not overwrite an existing report that has the same name if that report is open for viewing while a new report is being generated.
