Section View

View a Profile in Section

The Section View option gives you a section view in the vertical plane of a chosen section line.

Instructions

• Select Survey menu
• Select Survey Volumes submenu
• Select Section View option

Select one of the section lines in the current working layer. The section line chosen must have been created through the Create Section option. If not, then a message to that effect displays.

Once the section line is selected, you are then placed in a cross-sectional view in the vertical plane of the chosen section line. Combined with the icons on the Slice toolbar, and the Show Overview button on the Graphics toolbar, you can step through each section examining the profiles and editing where appropriate. Using this option, the slice step is set automatically for you to match the section line separation.
