Create a Grid Specification File

Use the Specifications option to create a grid specification file (<proj><filename>_grid.chronos_spec) that describes the horizons to be reserved, in terms of their upper and lower surfaces, and recovery and density parameters.

The created specification file displays in the Other folder of the Vulcan Explorer.

Instructions

• Select iGantt menu
• Select B&B submenu
• Select Specifications option

The following panel displays.

Grid reserve specifications panel

General specifications

Select this option to save all grid reserve information to the general specifications file. The general specifications file will be named <proj>_grid.chronos_spec where <proj> refers to the project code.

Specification file

Select this option to save the grid reserve information in a different file. The list contains all <proj>_grid.chronos_spec files found in your current working directory. To create a new file, enter the file name. The resulting file will be named <proj><file name>_grid.chronos_spec where <proj> refers to the project code and <file name> refers to the specified file name.

Click OK.

The grid reserving specifications are then stored in the nominated file.
