Set Visibility

Control the Visibility of Polygons and Triangulations

Use the Set Visibility option to control the visibility of polygons or triangulations which represent reserves according to the Reserve sheet attributes. This option is extremely useful when used in conjunction with the Chronos > Display & Query > Plot Reserves option and when setting complex dependency relationships.

This option has the same functionality as the View > Visibility > Design Visibility option.  However, this option uses the reserves as the criterion for visibility.

Instructions

  • Select iGantt menu
  • Select Display & Query submenu
  • Select Set Visibility option

The following panel displays.

Visibility conditions panel

Conditions

Refers to a group of logical expressions used to evaluate the attributes of each object. The criteria used can either be entered manually or selected from the list.

Act on an object if...

ALL conditions are TRUE

Select this option to have the process act on the object when all of the set conditions are true.

ANY condition is TRUE

Select this option to have the process act on the object when any of the set conditions are true.

... AND this is the case for...

ALL reserve associated with the object

Select this option to have the process act on all reserves associated with the object.

ANY reserve associated with the object

Select this option to have the process act on any reserve associated with the object.

EXCLUDE these objects, act on all other objects

Select this check box to have the process act on those objects with false conditions.

Make the block

Invisible

Select this option to have the objects that have passed the set conditions made invisible.

Visible

Select this option to have the objects that have passed the set conditions made visible.

Shadowed

Select this option to shadow the objects that have passed the set conditions.

Coloured

Select this option to colour the objects that have passed the set conditions.

Colour

Select the colour to be used to highlight the objects that have passed the set conditions.

Pattern

Select the fill pattern to be used to highlight the objects that have passed the set conditions.

Both the Colour and Pattern options, are only available when the Coloured option is selected.

Scan blocks using

Polygons

Select this option to scan the blocks using polygons.

Triangles

Select this option to scan the blocks using triangulations.

If a block has no corresponding reserve

Ignore it

Select this option to ignore the objects with no associated reserves.

Assume it fails all tests

Select this option to assume that those objects with no associated reserves, are objects that have failed all tests.

Passes all tests

Select this option to assume that those objects with no associated reserves, are objects that have passed all tests.

Log the results
