Edit Description

Assign/Edit Block Model Descriptions

Use Edit Description to assign or edit block model descriptions. You can also edit a block model description via the Vulcan Explorer context menu (displayed after right-clicking on the block model name).

Block model descriptions are only applicable to block models that were created using Version 6.0 or later. If you attempt to use this option with a block model that was created prior to Version 6.0, then an error message displays.

Instructions

On the Block menu, point to Manipulation, and then click Edit Description to display the Edit description panel.

If a block model is not currently open, you will be prompted to open one first.

Enter the description that you want to assign to the chosen block model.

Click OK.

The description is then assigned or, if applicable, updated. The Header option can be used to view the block model information (via the Report Window).
