Set Up

Use the Set Up option  to specify whether you want to use the hardcoded file extensions and hardcoded default system details or use the file extensions and system details from the initialisation file (fd.init).

Your selection is saved in a file in your current working directory. The format of the file name is w4d_interface.spc. The next time Vulcan is started, your selection will be loaded.


Instructions

On the Block menu, point to Whittle 4D, and then click Set Up to display the Whittle-4D:Setup panel.

Program Revision Number

Select the version of Whittle 4D (3.01 or 3.10) that you want to use. This feature sets the appearance of the panels used throughout the Whittle 4D module as well as the way the information is outputted.

Use file and system details in fd.ini

Select this check box to use the file extensions and system details set up in the fd.init file. If this check box is not checked, the hardcoded file extensions and default system details will be used.

See the File Extensions panel in the Edit fd.ini option for a list of the hardcoded file extensions. The default storage format for Polygon files is fixed unless a different format is specified in the fd.init file, the default storage format for Model and Parameter files is always fixed regardless of the settings in the fd.init file.

Click OK.

Your selection is then saved.
