Z Cut

Use the Z Cut option to create construction points where a string intersects the current Z value.

This option is often used when interpolating normal data points into an object at a given Z value. The position of the data point is determined using Z cut and the data points are then inserted using the construction points as a guide for snapping while using Insert or another Point Edit option.

Instructions

On the Design menu, point to Construction Points, and then click Z Cut.

Select the object.

Construction points are then created at each location on the nominated object where it crosses the current Z value.
