Delete
Delete an Object
Use the Delete option to delete objects, including objects that consist of text or represent contour strings.
This option can also be accessed by selecting the Delete button from the Delete toolbar. The Delete toolbar is a "sub toolbar" and can either be accessed through the Modify toolbar or through using the Toolbar Visibility option (under the Tools menu).
Instructions
On the Design menu, point to Object Edit, and then click Delete.
The Multiple Selection box displays.
Use the Multiple Selection box to choose your method of selecting objects and select the objects. You will need to confirm that you want to delete the selected object.
Preselected design data can be used with this option, that is objects are selected prior to running the Delete option. Using preselected data will allow you to bypass the Multiple Selection box.
If you use the Multiple Selection box to delete by layer and delete the current layer (as per the Status toolbar), this current layer is removed from the screen and the word "Empty" is appended to the layer name in the Status toolbar. It does, however, still exist in memory until you File > Save the design database. Another way to remove the layer from memory is to clear (using either the File > Remove option or the Remove Layer button ) it after you have deleted it.
