Move Text to a New Position

The Move option to select a text object and move it to a new position.

Instructions

Select Design menu
Select Text Edit submenu
Select Move option

Select the text object that you want to move.

Indicate, using any of the design entry modes, the new position for the text. The text object will be moved such that its origin (the lower left corner) will be placed at the indicated position. The origin will be displayed as a point when the text object is selected.

You will be asked whether or not to retain the move.

Tip: It is also possible to move text objects through the Vulcan context menu. To do so, right-click on a displayed text object and select Move from the displayed context menu.
