Edit Downhole Survey Data

Use Edit Desurvey to insert, move or delete downhole survey points.

Instructions

On the Geology menu, point to Drilling, and then click Edit Desurvey.

Move

Prompts you to select the object followed by the point to move. The next prompt asks you to indicate its new position. The new position will need to be confirmed.

Insert

Prompts you to select the object followed by the line segment into which you want to insert points. The line is temporarily annotated by a "S" and "E" to indicate the start and end of the line. You then indicate the points to insert in that line. Cancel when finished indicating points. You will be asked whether or not to interpolate the Z values. Once indicated, you will be asked to confirm the inserted points. Upon confirmation, you can insert further points if required. Cancel will exit the Insert mode.

Delete

Prompts you to select the object followed by the point to delete. You will need to confirm the deletion. Cancel at the confirmation boxes or Cancel at prompts returns you to a previous level, for example Cancel at the Delete/Retain confirmation box returns you to the prompt that asks you to select a point.
