Digitise Contacts

Use the Digitise Contacts option to digitise the lines that form the boundaries between the different geological zones.

Note:   Any geological zone polygons on the screen are made invisible when the option is selected.

Instructions

• Select Geology menu
• Select Section Resources submenu
• Select Digitise Contacts option

The Contacts dialog box displays. If a working section has not been specified (through the Working Section option), then you will be required select a section first.

Once contact name (i.e. a feature) has been selected, you will be prompted to indicate the points that form the boundary of this contact zone. The digitised boundaries will be stored in the interpretation layer specified through the Define Sections option.

Cancel when finished digitising boundary points. Upon cancellation, you will be prompted to indicate the next first and subsequent points (same zone). Cancel to return to the Contacts dialog box (so a different contact zone can be selected).
