Build Polygons

Use the Build Polygons option to take the digitised contact zones, and build them into polygons representing the different geological regions.

Note:   The polygons must be fully enclosed by the digitised contact zone lines. When rebuilding polygons the existing polygons are not retained. Contact lines are kept but made invisible.

Instructions

• Select Geology menu
• Select Section Resources submenu
• Select Build Polygons option

Select a section. This refers to the section for which you want to build the geological zones. Multiple sections can be selected from the screen, or from a list. The list is accessed by clicking the right mouse button. Any sections in the list that are indicated by an arrow are already picked.

Once the required sections have been selected, you are asked whether or not to build the zones. The zones (polygons) will be stored in the interpretation layer specified in the Define Sections option.
