Overview

This section provides a general overview of the Vulcan washability software. The washability software produces ISO 7936 (AS 4156.1) standard washability curves and tables.

The table is the ISO standard presentation for Float and Sink Data. The graph likewise is as defined in the standard for displaying washability curves. The graph is an & quotactive" entity that can be automatically interrogated to report fully the assessment of different coal preparation conditions (as described in the standard).

Washability data is assumed to be either part of the geology database (as a washability type table) or as tables in a separate washability database (with depth and seam information included). All float/sink fractions must be represented on the same table.

Data selection can be made either via selection from a graphical representation f a drillhole, or by specifying seams/depths for drillholes. Pre-existing Float and Sink Data tables can also be loaded and plotted if required.
