Insert Sections

Insert Extra Cross Section Lines

This option is identical to the Insert Sections option under the Open Pit > Range Diagram, Section Design and Rehandle submenus.

The Insert Sections option to insert additional cross section lines at a nominated distance from existing ones.

Instructions

• Select Open Pit menu
• Select Pit Volumes submenu
• Select Insert Sections option

Select a section line. This refers to the existing cross section that will be used as a reference line for the inserted line.

Once selected, the section line is highlighted and the following panel displays.

Enter the distance for the offset of the inserted cross-section line from the reference line. A positive distance will insert a line on the side of the last section line in the original series. A negative distance will insert a line on the side of the first section line in the series.

Select OK.

The new section line is then loaded and you will be prompted to select another section line. Cancel when finished inserting cross section lines.
