XS On LSection
Create section lines perpendicular to a Long section line
The XS On LSection option to place equally spaced section lines perpendicular to and along a previously designed long section line.
The section lines generated through this option receive the following attributes:

The <prefix> is the prefix of the long section line.
Instructions
- Select Open Pit menu
- Select Section Design submenu
- Select XS On LSection option
Select the long section line. This refers to the previously designed long section line (refer to the Create Sections option).
Once selected, the following panel displays.
Create sections on longsection panel
Separation along alignment
Enter the separation distance (in chainage) along the long section line.
Left/Right side offset from alignment
Enter the perpendicular extent of the section lines on the left and right side of the long section line.
Create on longsection grade
Select this option if you want the RL (Z) of the section lines to follow the slope of the straights of the long section line.
Create at datum level
Select this option to the sections to be created at a specific datum level.
Select OK.
A series of section lines are then generated perpendicular to the long section line. These section lines can be used in the same manner as the section lines generated through other options.
