Defaults

Use Defaults to set the default display settings and values for the Ventilation module.

Instructions

On the Underground menu, point to Ventilation, and then click Defaults to display the Defaults panel.

Display Attributes

Node colour

Select the default colour for the nodes. The colour is selected from the current colour table.

Branch colour

Select the default colour for the network branches. The colour is selected from the current colour table.

Line style

Select the default line style for the network branches. The line style (and line thickness) is selected from a list of line types delivered with Vulcan.

Branch Parameters

Use this section to define the default branch parameter values for the Ventilation module. Use the Reset button to reset the panel.

Perimeter

Enter the default branch perimeter.

Area

Enter the default branch area.

Resistance

Enter the default resistance.

R/L

Enter the default unit resistance for a given length.

K

Enter the default friction factor.

Le

Enter the equivalent length used to account for shock losses due to changes in the airway shape and/or obstructions in the airway.

Density

Enter the default air density.

Click OK.
