2. Configure the Setup

Once an Epoch setup is created, it needs to be configured so that it has the necessary information required for the client to generate a schedule.

Epoch setup configuration is divided into a number of sections or tabs. Each tab represents an aspect of the setup the software requires to schedule the mine. The following is a list of tabs that need to be configured for an Epoch setup to be ready for evaluation:

• Flowchart — Allows you to add process flow components to a setup.
• Resources — Allows you to add and configure resources (equipment and process flow components).
• Calendar — Allows you add and view appointments.
• Task Sequence — Allows you to create and manage task keys, virtual solids and task lists.
• Activities — Allows you to add and configure activities.
• Constraints — Allows you to define a set of setup constraints per period. Currently only contains one constraint (the Solid Availability constraint).
• Viewer — Provides you with a 3D display of models within the setup.
