Overview

The Development submenu is used for the design of declines and development drives in underground mines. The tools found here are used to draw centrelines for the development, put walls on the given offsets and road width, and project those outlines to the backs or floors.

If there are junctions, then walls can be merged together. Certain gradient functions can be performed such as regrading sections of roads, along some simple cost calculations. And points and line segments can be annotated for plotting purposes.

The default settings for the Development submenu, which are defined through the Set Up option, are stored in the Underground Development preferences file (UGDEV.prefs). This file will be stored in your user profiles area, for example C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>. If the preferences file does not exist, then the Set Up option can be used to create one.
