Indicate Mode
Indicate mode allows you to design points that indicate the approximate location of points.
Points designed in Indicate mode (Plan view) assume the default Z value, unless the gradient has been set (refer to Introduction > Setting Up Vulcan ) in which case the first point will assume the default Z value, and the remaining points follow the defined gradient. The default Z value is displayed and can be altered through the Status toolbar.
If a grid is displayed, then the points will be digitised on the plane of the grid. It is not possible to indicate points if you are in a section view perpendicular to the grid plane. In all cases (rotated and plan views) hold down the Shift key to digitise a point with the same Z level as the last edited/selected point.
You can use the keyboard shortcut to switch to Indicate by pressing the Y key when in point insertion mode,
