Introduction to Vulcan
This section contains information about using Vulcan for the first time. The different methods for structuring and organising data in Vulcan as well as setting up the necessary files required before Vulcan can be started are included in this section.
There is also a section on creating design data ( Starting Design Work > Digitise ), which includes examples designed to highlight all of the input modes as well as some of the create and analyse options. If you work through this section you will learn how to create a project specification file, a design database and a layer, all of which are necessary for creating design data. You will also learn about the different input modes and when and how to use these modes. You will become familiar with the layout of the Workbench, and you will be able to display toolbars, the Explorer and the Report Window.
Also included is information on the different tools you can use to help you visualise in three dimensions.
