Snap to Grids
Snap to Grids mode allows you to digitise a point that is snapped to a grid vertex. A grid must be displayed onscreen in order to use this mode. Grids can be displayed through using the
Enable Grid icon (on the Graphics toolbar ) or selecting the Apply option (under the Analyse > Grid submenu). Any points digitised in Snap to Grid mode will be "snapped" onto the closest point beneath the cursor on the grid plane.
When digitising design objects using Snap to Grids mode, each object will be created in the same plane as the grid regardless of the orientation or RL.
Press the N key to cycle through the different snap modes. When using the middle mouse button to cycle through the available snap modes, Snap to Grids mode will be skipped if a grid is not displayed onscreen.
You can use the keyboard shortcut to switch to Snap to Grids by pressing the P key when in point insertion mode.
