Pit Volumes menu contents
Use the Working option to define a working layer. All section lines and profiles generated by the Pit Volumes submenu will be placed in this layer.
Use the Create Sections option to generate section lines. Section lines are required for profile generation, and thus for volume calculation.
Use the Insert Sections option to insert additional cross section lines at a nominated distance from existing ones.
Use the Create Profiles option to create profiles of your two surface triangulations. Profiles are needed to perform volume calculations.
Use the Volume option to calculate and produce an end area 'cut and fill' volumes report.
Use the Dragline Spoil option to create profiles (along the length of the pit) and spoil pile sections that would be produced by a dragline mining the strip.
Use the Dragline Surface option to generate strings on spoil pile sections.
