Files menu contents
This section provides a summary of the Files submenu and its available options.
Use the Load option to load a design data file. If the design file already exists, then all associated layers are loaded into their respective windows.
Use the Remove option to close a design data file. Any associated design layers will be removed from their respective windows.
Use the Set Up option to open a design file and, at the same time, change its default design parameters.
Use the Topography option to select the topography triangulation to be used for the design.
Use the Subsurface option to select the default subsurfaces. Subsurfaces can be used as an aid in determining how the excavation can proceed (ripper, scraper, drill and blast), or to avoid unnecessary excavation in hard materials.
Use the Bulking Factor option to set a default bulking/compaction factor to be used in the cut and fill volume calculations.
Use the Haul Costs option to set the free haul cost and over haul cost. These costs are used in the mass haul diagram in the Mass Haul option.
