Total Depth
Match total depths for collar and geology tables
Select this check box verify that the final depth values in both the collar and geology tables are identical.
Override database synonyms
Select this check box to specify the exact database field (column) used in the total depth check. The name of the table and total depth for the drillhole collar, as well as the name of the depth table and To field in the Geology record, can be selected from the drop-down lists.
Options
Total depth must be equal to final depth
Validation will only pass if the two values match. This was the default behaviour in earlier versions of Vulcan.
Total depth can be greater than or equal to final depth
Validation will only pass if the total depth is greater than or equal to the last logged interval, that is, the final depth. We recommend using this option if you haven't logged down to the bottom of the hole.
Replace collar table total depth with final depth
Select between Always replace, or Only replace when total depth is less than final depth. This is useful if some holes are drilled longer than the sample depth, and you do not want to adjust the Total Depth field in the collar table to the Final Depth field of an assay table.
You can also assign a null value for the total depth field.
