Save and Run
Specifications file
The name of the currently open Database Validation Specifications file (.dbv
) displays.
To create a new file, enter the file name and file extension.
If you want to save the specifications to an existing file, then enter the file name or select it from the drop-down list. The drop-down list contains all of the .dbv
files found in the current working directory. Click Browse to select a file from another location.
Note: If you select an existing file, then the values in the chosen file will be overwritten with the new specifications.
Click Save to save the specifications.
Click Run to begin the validation. Once selected, a progress bar displays to indicate the current stage of the process. Use the Esc key to exit the operation.
All errors are saved to the specified report file and, if applicable, displayed through Microsoft Excel. If no errors are found in the validation, then the 'Validation has passed' message displays.
