Edit

This section allows merging of the solid blocks that are produced by sectioning of the base solid by all selected surfaces i.e. those produced from the design lines and those supplied as separate surfaces.

The lists are formed as user picks solid blocks from the screen. The solids are merged and displayed in real-time giving user a preview of the final configuration of the split of the base solid. The solids are displayed semi-translucently in order to show the underlying design lines.

In order to simplify the merger procedure, the workflow prevents merger of already merged blocks. If user wants to merge into one list some of all blocks of another list, user will need to delete another list and re-merge its solids into the first list. To see the list of solids merged, click on the list icon on the right of each merge list and the following panel pops up.

When new merge is started by pressing Screen Pick button, the first click decides whether user wants to add to the existing merge list or start a new one. Clicking on merged solid means that the user continues to merge with the already merged solid.

Modification to the specification file or any of the selected surfaces (in Fault Design Data and Fault Surfaces sections) will invalidate merge lists as the number of splits of the base solid will change. As a result, the merge lists will be reset.

Note:  In absence of any merge lists, the Preview solids button in the Preview section emulates the Edit section.
