Unique Collar Location

Collar locations are defined as the starting point of downhole drilling. There are two options for validating collar locations.

• Unique collar location

• Collar on surface

Check for unique collar locations

This option reports an error if more than one drillhole has the same coordinates.

2D check only

This option will compare locations based solely on X, Y coordinates. Deselect the option to compare locations based on X, Y, Z coordinates.

Note:   In some cases, such as re-drills, generated errors are not an issue. Review reported drillhole names to determine if errors are related to re-drills.

Override database synonyms

Select this option to manually specify which table contains the Easting, Northing and Level (X, Y, Z) collar locations. If the box is not selected, database synonyms are used to determine these fields.
