Setup Tab

Note:  You can use Lava scripts to run automated tests for many of the most common options when setting up your project.


Settings Group

Use these options to setup the basic parameters for your project.

Project Options

Use the Project Options panel to define options for the current project.

Reserve Attributes

This option allows you to select the block model and variables used to calculate a report automatically generated in the Gantt chart, with a further option to see the true values at a different granularity (day, week, month, year).

Attributes

Use the Attribute Manager panel to add, modify, and remove activity attributes.

Activity Types

Use the Activity Types panel to add, edit, and delete activity types.  Activity types are a group of activities that share a common work calculation definition. They convert Vulcan objects (or triangulations) into a Vulcan Gantt activities.

Lookup Tables

Use the Lookup Tables panel to add, modify, or remove lookup table definitions.

Calendars

Use the Calendar Manager panel to define working and non-working times for the project. You can apply a calendar to an entire project, to resources in the resource definitions, or to activities for future development.

Plan Start Date

On the Setup tab, in the Settings group, enter the Plan Start Date.

Period Group

Periods

Periods are used to manipulate the frequency of reporting in the generated summary report.
