Underground menu contents
This section provides an overview of the Underground system.
This section describes the tools available for the design of underground coal mine plans. These plans are designed freehand, to a regular pattern, or by incorporating existing mine designs. Plans for both Room and Pillar and Longwall/Shortwall methods of mining can be produced. This module can be used with the Coal Reserves module.
This section describes the options that allow you to estimate the volume, tonnage, quality etc. of an underground coal mine.
This section describes the tools available for the design of declines and development drives etc., in underground mines.
The section contains options that allow you to:
- analyse an ore body based on predefined variables and return whether or not it should be mined.
- apply a gradient value to a series of objects.
- highlight and report details on holes and/or triangulation that fall in a nominated distance of centrelines or triangulations.
- place filleted turns in the wall outline.
- use an existing contour scheme to colour displayed design objects.
- locate the nearest path between a point and an object.
- determine which blocks are worth mining.
This section contains options that bring together many of the functions in other menus. The options under Stope Design are reserves options specifically for working on rings. Some specific options for displaying sections through a stope are also available.
This section describes the tools available for laying out blasthole patterns. These tools provide the flexibility to adapt to the many different situations encountered in the range of underground mines at which Vulcan is used. In addition to the design tools, the capability to perform underground grade control is included. Explosive analysis tools are provided by the Explosives Loading module.
This section describes the options that allow you to display the location and magnitude of any or all underground microseismic events.
This section describes the options that allow you to design mine ventilation plans.
This section lists the file naming conventions and provides examples of files used by the Underground module.
