Drillhole Database

Select the drillhole database which contains the data necessary for creating the grid model. If the database exists in the current working directory, select the database from the drop-down list. Alternately, click Browse to select a database from another folder, including one that is located on a network. Select ODBC Link to access a third-party database such as Microsoft Access or ORACLE.

To use a pre-existing specification file (*.FD_SPEC) click Load Existing Spec to browse for the file. Panels will populate based upon the contents of the selected specification file.

Downhole Survey

FixDHD interpolates data from its true 3D location on inclined or curved drillholes. Vulcan assumes that if the database contains downhole survey information (defined with relevant synonyms) it should be used. If for whatever reason the downhole survey is not required, you can temporarily deactivate the database synonym in question.
