Overview

This section provides an overview of the Move Blocks submenu.

Start/End Sequence

Begin/End Macro

Dragline - Right Toe

Dragline - Centre

Moves a block by dumping it in a triangular spoil pile, with its spoil peak positioned where you digitise.

Dragline - Left Toe

Bulldoze - Left

Bulldoze - Right

Bulldoze - Uphill

Doze a block up to a crest point, rather than a flat bulldoze as with the Bulldoze - Left and Right options.

Area Balance

Move a block by dumping it to a desired shape, specified by a template or block profile.

Area Reshape

Area Cut & Fill

Move a block by attempting to dump it to the exact shape and size specified by a template or block profile.

Split Block

Split a block on the current section into two new blocks. It is possible to split the blocks using several methods, by two points, by an angle, by an elevation and by a template.

Merge Blocks

Merge blocks that share common sides, to create a single new block.

Create Block

Create a block on the current section, either above or below the topography, specified by a template or block profile. This option is most useful for creating moveable blocks on the fly, from areas that are below the topography, yet outside the limits of your initial, in situ block layouts.

Remove Block

Remove a block from the current section and update the current topography. This option is most useful for simulating truck and shovel operations.

Export Block

Export a block on the current section, to another section or to the same section.

Nullify Block

Make a block on the current section invisible and class it as 'null'. This option is most useful in situations where an in situ block does not need to be moved, and hence should be ignored.

Select Dragline

Select a dragline from the dragline database, to use on the current section.

Set Position

Set the dragline position on the current section.

Unset Position

Remove the dragline extents box from the current section.

Undo

Undo all of the other options on the Move Blocks submenu, that have been carried out on the current section.

Redo

Reinstate (redo) changes that were cancelled (undone) by using the Undo option.

Animate

Animate the block movements that have been applied to an existing Dragline section.
